She was predeceased by : her father Simon Burkett; and her husband Herman Cook. She is survived by : her sons, Larry Cook (Gayle) and Floyd Cook (Jean); her grandchildren, Bill Cook (Wanda), Chris Starling (Tracy), Patrick Cook (Rechelle), Cheryle Marks III (Richard) and Cindy Defaria (Bernardo); her sister-in-law Nettie Burkett; and her close friend Betty McNeal. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
