He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Eugene Strickland and Juda Catherine Wilson; and his siblings, Louise Ward, Eugene, Don, Paul, Sammy, Almus "Tap" and Alvis "Bit" Strickland.
He is survived by: his son Scott Strickland (Hope) of Decatur; his brother Russell Strickland (Lavette) of Athens; his granddaughter Lydia Strickland; and his great grandchild Alina Mayfield.
