He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Hendon Henderson; his parents, Andrew Hendon and Rachel Stephenson Hendon; and his siblings, Clyrene Lay, Wynell Stewart, Dwight Hendon, Linwood Hendon, Delma Hendon, David Clayton Hendon and Herbert Hendon.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Mercer Hendon; his brother Vaughn Hendon (Nelda); his children, Bobby White (Wanda), Lorene Strange (Junior), Jimmie Vann (Suzy), Patricia Ledford (LV), David Hendon (JoAnne) and Betty Sue Williams (Alan); and his grandchildren, Brian White (Amy), Kenny Strange (Cindy), Steve Strange (Heather), Robin Lester, Alan Vann (Regina), Marlon Vann (Tiffany), Dana Hall (Chris), Chris Vann (Amanda), Melissa LaFayette (Eric), Michelle Ball (Freddie), Stephanie Rogers (Brad), Leslie Aaron (Anthony), Chuck Henderson (Erin), Linnea Elliott (Brad), Rachel Masters (Matt), Craig Hendon (Kayla), Tony Williams (Stephanie) and Philip Williams (Megan). He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that money be given to the Gideons International for bibles.
