He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Curtis and Virginia Miller Curtis; and his brothers, Kenneth Curtis, Bobby Curtis, Dennis Curtis and Frankie Curtis.
He is survived by: his close friend Adene Shaw; his children, Chad Curtis (Kellie) and Jennifer Knight (Jody); his siblings, Jewell Waits (Jerry) and Charles Curtis (Betty); and his sisters-in-law, Sarah Curtis, Kathy Curtis and Sherron Miller. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
