He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Rivers and Athel Rivers; his son Jeffrey Lynn Rivers; his siblings, Fred Rivers and Christine Howard; and his wives, Mary Rivers and Minnie Rivers.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Betty Horsely and Melissa Reynolds; his sons, Charles D. Rivers, Jr. (Michelle) and Richard Scott Rivers; his sister Ernestine "Shorty" Gaines (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Amanda, Miranda, Brandy, Tiffany, Alyssa, Devin, Heather, Tessa, Zach and Host. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren.
