He was predeceased by: his wife Maybell Grimmett Waid; his parents, Doyal W. Waid and Willie Peppers Waid; and his sister Kathryn Waid Garland. He is survived by: his son Charles Leo Waid, Jr. (Melodie White Waid); and his grandsons, Charles Preston Waid and James Daniel Waid. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
