She was predeceased by: her parents, Yancey B. Green and Ruth Green; her former husband J. T. Barr; her sister Faye Green Newberry; and her nephew Mark O'Neal Newberry.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Sutton, Sr.; her children, Nancy Herring (Ricky), Laura Walker (Dennis), Gerald Sutton, Jr., Joy Trotter (Andrew) and Eric Sutton (Brandi); her nephews, Daniel Newberry (Nikki) and Tyler Newberry (Hayley); her close friend Dot Kennedy; and her pet Harley. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
