He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Verlie Sutton Hartzog; his children, Pamela Shirah, Delton Hartzog (Patricia) of Gadsden, Danny Hartzog (Emily) of Clayton and Joe Hartzog (Mildred) of Mobile; his grandchildren, Alyson Newsome (Jay), Abby Wilson (Allan), Heath Hartzog (Bethany), Stephanie Honeycutt (Jimmy), Shea Hartzog (Aimee), Hollen Smith, Angela Mitchell (Preston), Carrie Maxwell (Andy) and Patrick Walton (Shanleigh); and his sister Evelyn H. Henley.
