He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Wilson and Mamie Irene Beasley Wilson; his granddaughter Kaylee Wilson; his brother Billy Jack Wilson; and his nephew Jeremy Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Elinda "Linda" Jackson Wilson; his sons, Danny Joe Wilson and Derick Wilson (Kay); his brother Richard Henry Wilson (Kay); his grandsons, Jason Wilson (Anna) and Dillon Wilson (Jordan); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Jackson.
