He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vascar Barnett and Mattie Bee Roper Barnett; his wife Jewell Barnett; and his sister Floy Jean Barnett. He is survived by: his son Thad Barnett; his sister Judy Alley; his grandchildren, Sydney Barnett and Cheyenne Barnett (Shan); and his great grandchild Graelyn Jewel Thigpen.
