She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Lee Emerson and Archie Louise Greene Emerson; and her sister Audry Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Lindsey; her son Michael Andrew Travis (Kimberly); her granddaughters, Amber and Laura; her daughter Jodi Suzanne Crubaugh (Joseph); her grandchildren, William, Tyler and Ana; her stepson Royce (Jodie); and her siblings, Gertude Young, Nancy Rich and Edward Emerson.
