We bid farewell to Mary B. Whitt of Ardmore, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Mary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Quentin Marshall and Mary Carter Marshall; her husband Loyd "Jack" Whitt; her daughter Lydia Whitt Chandler; and her siblings, Louise Patterson, Fannie Mae Durham and Manson Marshall.
She is survived by: her son Loyd Whitt Jr. (Heather); her son-in-law Tom Chandler; her grandchildren, Lindsey Whitt Miller (Jordan), Haley Chandler Luper (Keith) and Joshua Whitt; her great grandchildren, Samuel Miller, Justin Luper and Nathan Luper; and her siblings, Josephine Smith and Clifford "Tinker" Marshall (Betty).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (28430 Pinedale Rd, Ardmore, AL 35739). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the mission funds at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
