He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jack Shelton and Marjorie Hargrove Shelton; his son Derrick Shelton; and his sister Rita Faye Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Shelton of Ardmore, AL; his son Dexter Shelton (Amy) of Athens, AL; the mother of his children Katie Silva (Drew) of Atlanta, GA; and his great grandchildren, Cole Nelson, Parker Nelson, Jack Silva, Claire Silva and Gracie Silva. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; along with a host of friends.
