He was predeceased by: his siblings, James, Calvin, Thomas Taft and Ola Mae Puckett; his wife Imogene Brown Taft; and his son Dwight.
He is survived by: his son Derrell Brown (Eva Brown); his daughter-in-law Mary Brown (Dwight); his grandchildren, Kristi Brown Combs, Ethan Brown, Amber Brown Anderson and Jeffery Brown; and his great-nephew Shaun Puckett. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Gatlin Cemetery in Ray Taft's name.
