He was predeceased by: his parents, J. V. Bynum and Mamie Bynum of Gadsden, Alabama.; his sister Nellie Ruth Hughes; and his son Richard Bynum. He is survived by: his wife Ann E. Knight Bynum of Gadsden; his grandchildren, Bronwyn Poole (Scott) and Brandon Bynum; his great grandchildren, Carson, Kelsey and Zoey Poole; and his nephew Kenneth Hughes of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Arab First Baptist Church.
