It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Thompson Mitchell (Arab, Alabama), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 11, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tom Mitchell and Marguerite Mitchell; his wife Carol Ann of Millington; his brother Tom Mitchel (Susan) of Memphis; his sons, Dan Mitchell (Teri) of Huntsville and Ben Mitchell (Paula) of Alexander City, AL; his grandchildren, Steven Mitchell (Lauren) of Huntsville, Laura Cook (Josh) of Irondale, AL and Nathan Mitchell Auburn (Hampton); his great grandchild Harper Mitchell of Huntsville; and his son Jonathan Mitchell.
In leu of flowers, that family requests donations be made to the Arab Church of Christ earmarked for the Robert Martin Pacific Island Mission Fund.
