He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walthall (Jack) and Jenny Mae Dixon; his sister Patsy; his sons, John and Ricky; and his granddaughter Tabitha Strickland.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughters, Jenny Forsythe (Eddie) and Alice Elkins (Tony); and his grandchildren, Jessica Kent (Brent) and Joyle Walthall (Karol). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Union Chapel Church Building Fund (1212 Union Chapel Road, Union Grove, Alabama 35175).
