He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnson and Myra Johnson; his wife Theona "Bill" Johnson; his daughter Janice Fay Johnson; his granddaughter Kathrine Fay Johnson; and his siblings, Sam, Jessie, James, Fronie and Laza.
He is survived by: his sons, Rickey Johnson and Jerry Johnson; his grandchildren, Dale Johnson, Tandalone Michelle Johnson and Jeffery Moody; and his brother Floyd Johnson. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
