She is survived by: her husband James Edward Whitaker; her sons, Derek Bearden (Teresa) and Steven Dwight Bearden; her stepdaughter Jamie Melissa Prince (Danny); and her siblings, William Rayford Bearden and Edna Mae Bearden. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
