He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ray Shirah and Rosa Nell Benton-Shirah; his stepson Greg Glass; and his daughter-in-law Kim Shirah. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Sue Glass-Shirah; his children, John Shirah and Jennifer "Jenny" Durham (Phillip); and his stepchildren, Ricky Glass and Kristi Brackett (Rodney). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
