Karen Lee Pugh Obituary
Ms. Karen Lee Pugh, of the Mount Tabor community of Union Grove, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Marshall Medical Center North at the age of 65.
Mrs. Pugh was born, one of 19 children, on December 15, 1957 to Robert and Mildred Pugh in Henderson, North Carolina. She was married to Ricky Lynn Bannister for 49 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, shopping and relaxing on her front porch. Mrs. Pugh also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Pugh is survived by her husband, Ricky Lynn Bannister; sons, Robert Keith Pugh, Ronald Clinton Pugh and his wife Shelly and Donald Joe Pugh and his wife Scarlette; and granddaughter; Emily Grace Pugh.
Mrs. Pugh is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Pugh; and grandson, Matthew Pugh.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2023 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Oak-Ruth Cemetery officiated by Brother Brad Howard. Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Pugh to her final resting place are Donald Pugh, Ronald Pugh, Robert Pugh, Charles Creekmore, and Clifton Henderson.
