He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hand and Frances Hand; and his brother Michael Hand. He is survived by: his wife Paula Hand of Arab; his children, Shannon Leigh Hand (Jennifer) of Huntsville and Victoria Allyse Lovelady (Michael) of Huntsville; his siblings, Patrick Hand (Nora), Noreen Hand of Huntsville and Judy Griffith (Bill) of Huntsville; and his stepchildren, Christina of Oklahoma and Richard of Huntsville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
