He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel "Sam" Tripp and Annie Ruth Harris Tripp; his children, Paula Tripp and Zack Gamble; and his siblings, Gerald Tripp, Kenny Tripp, Vivian Gamble and Faye Cantrell.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Rhodes Tripp; his daughter Sissy Tripp; his extended family, Bobby Chatham and Josh Baker; and his friend Rick Cook.
