She is survived by: her son Geoffrey Slate (Christy); her grandchildren, Meredith Slate, Margaret Slate and Charles Slate; her former husband Jack Slate; her nieces, Kim Foote Haines (Bob), Penny Foote White and Patricia Hartselle Maples (Wade); her nephew James Hartselle (Rosemarie); and her friend Wanda Davis.
