He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Thomas Smith and Clara Ovena Norton Smith; his sister Louise Traylor; and his great grandchild Tucker Staton. He is survived by: his children, Alan Smith, Teresa Brumlow (Tim) and Ernestine Gossett; his sisters, Nellie Gullion and Margaret Conley (Larry); his grandchildren, Caroline Brumlow, Kala Staton and Samantha Goss; and his great grandchild Ariel McClellan.
