Virginia Bernice Pugh Obituary

Virginia Bernice Pugh, 89, of Anniston, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022. Services will be held at Miller Funeral Home in the Toby Miller Chapel at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. A visitation for friends will be held an hour prior to the service at 4:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Dr. Horace Carson will be officiating.

She is survived by her daughter, Tawana Charmayne Pointer; Granddaughters, Amanda Talley, Tonya Singh; Grandsons, Harvey Talley, Shane Pointer, Dwight Mark Thornell Jr.; great grandsons, Keith Gentry, Calvester Johnson, Rochelle Washington, Jordan Blankenship, Quinnon Bradley Blankenship; great grandchildren, Deva Singh, Aayush Singh, Aakash Singh, Kynlee Wade, Summer Talley, Layla Talley, Kyler Talley, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank King, Ada J Graves King; brother, Robert F King, Benjamin Franklin King, Sylvester King, Otis King; Sisters, Irene King, Dorothy Louise King, Mary Francis King; Daughter, Teresa Kay Talley; Son, Dwight Mark Thornell, Quinnon Marvin Blankenship; Grandchildren, Mark Blankenship, Gina Blankenship; great granddaughter, Heather Blankenship.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved sitting on her front porch. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and never met a stranger. She was a breast cancer survivor. The family would like to personally thank the nurses and staff of Cleburne County Nursing Home for everything they did.
