She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Byers; her parents, Cora Lee Jones and Julius Carrington; her brothers, Alonzo Jones and Julius Carrington, Jr.; and her stepmother Ozell Carrington.
She is survived by: her children, Audra Byers of Anniston, DeWanna Miller (Anthony) of Anniston, DeMarcus Byers of Anniston and Charles Alexander (Colette) of Dallas, GA; her close friend Charles Maddox; her siblings, Angela Winters (Lawrence) of Flint, MI, Linda of Phoenix, AZ, Diane Carrington of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle of Los Angeles, CA, Marlesha Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Walter White (Denita) of Flint, MI, Ernest of Los Angeles, CA, Danny of Los Angeles, CA, Johnny of Los Angeles, CA and Frank Jones, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; and her grandchildren, Ramone, Rashad, Rashon, Keshana, DeMarcus Jr., Daquan, Rodelle, Deriante, Chelonde and Quinyon. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
