It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Mell Edwards of Anniston, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Lee Smith, Sr. and Margaret Gold Smith; her husband Leslie M. Edwards, Jr.; her children, Page Edwards Austin, Marsee Edwards Lee (Doug) and L. Minton Edwards III (Laurie); and her grandchildren, Carter Lee Johnson (Geordy), B. Pierce Lee II, Jordan Edwards, Ben Edwards, Alyssa Page Austin and Margaret Hues Austin (Maggie). She was also cherished by two great grandchildren.
