He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Edward and Rosa Lee Simmons McCord; and his brothers, Douglas McCord, Paul McCord and Bill McCord.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wood McCord; his daughter Jennifer Smith; his granddaughters, Victoria Anne Milstead (Brandon) and Samantha Leigh Womble (Coleman); his great grandchildren, Willow Anne Milstead and Samuel Rhett Womble; his sister-in-law Willa McCord; his close friends, Jim and Melanie Huggins; and his nephews, Clay McCord, Mark McCord, Ryan McCord, Reid McCord, Scott McCord and Rodney Murray. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
