He was predeceased by: his wife Sybil Johnson; his parents, Robert Johnson and Ora Johnson; his son-in-law Larry Gardner; and his brother Ralph Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Delane O'Kelley (Hal) and Ginger Gardner (late Larry Gardner); his grandchildren, Grant O'Kelley (Whitney), Gray O'Kelley, Brock Gardner (Jennifer) and Bradley Gardner; his great grandchildren, Katilyn Grace Gardner, Tatum O'Kelley and Griffin O'Kelley; and his siblings, Ray Johnson and Rachel Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church (5117 Post Oak Rd, Anniston, AL 36206).
