He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Maxwell; his parents, Elbert W. Maxwell and Bonnie Duke Maxwell; and his children, Allison and Samuel Maxwell.
He is survived by: his wife Takeko Nakasone Maxwell; his niece Chauncie Davenport; his nephew Chris McCormick, Sr.; and his sister Sandra McCormick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
