It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred L. Newman (Anniston, Alabama), who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lawrence and Virginia Lawrence of Lyndon, Kentucky; her husband Charles W. Newman; and her siblings, Dorothy Borie and Jimmy Lawrence.
She is survived by: her son Charles W. Newman Jr. (Norma Newman); her grandchildren, Kristen Toombs (Matt) of Memphis, Erin Pearce (Andy) of Memphis, Tennessee, Charles William Newman III of Oxford and James Paul Newman of Oxford, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Harrison, Annie Vance, Fox Toombs, Cole, Davis, Charlie and Lewis Pearce; and her nieces and nephews, James Bennett, Joe Bennett, Kay Hubbard, David Bennett, Jon Borie, Tom Borie, Danny Abbott, Linda Chaudoin and Jay Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Newman would want donations to organizations that spread the Gospel of Christ.
