Mattie Jean Whiteside Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2022, at the age of 87, Mattie Jean Whiteside of Anniston, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ellis Whiteside; her daughter Phyllis Garrett; and her parents, Will Rushton and Willie Mae Rushton. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Johnson, Cassandra Whiteside, Ellis Whiteside, Jr. and Kenneth Whiteside; and her grandchildren, Demetrius Young, Maiako Porter (Bill), Marlin Whiteside and Keisha Lawson (Dave). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
