He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Faye Smith (Phillips); his daughter Pamela Lynn Smith; his parents, Arthur C. Smith and Myrtle L. Smith; and his brothers, J. C., Doyle, Alex and William Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip A. Smith (Lynn) and Kelli G. Smith; his grandchildren, Lydia Marie Smith Lester (Noah) and Stephen P. Smith (Kathleen); and his great grandchildren, Iris and Nora Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
