He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Faye Trantham Bolden; his parents, Thomas Allen Bolden and Florence Opel Gowens; his son Steven Lee Bolden; and his great great grandchildren, Jeremiah Barnes and Noah Jackson Lee Britton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janda Kay Bolden and Mary Ann Bolden Hendrick (Robert); and his grandchildren, LaCrisha Miller, Brandy Sams, Amy Sams Easterwood, Emerald Porter Barnes, Sherri Bolden Morrison, Steven Bolden, Joseph Bolden, John Bolden and Joshua Bolden. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
