He is survived by: his wife Cindy Chappell Starnes; his children, Susan Stubbs (Andy), Greg Starnes and Brent Comer; his sister Wanda Gail McDowell; his grandchildren, Bradley Stubbs (Gracie), Heather Stubbs Grigsby (Josh) and Jacob Comer; his siblings-in-law, Darrell Chappell (Donna) and Teresa Chappell Blanton (Bryan); and his pet Katie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
