She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Davis and Ruth Davis; her husband John Harris; her sisters, Melba Davis Swain and Betty Davis; and her granddaughters, Camille Allen, Breuna Tezeno and Jelissa Robbins.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Whitehurst, Carmalita Robbins (Michael), Dorothia Allen, Rev. Frederick Allen, Jr. (Diane), Dwayne Allen and Johnny L. Harris; her brothers, Bobby Davis (Betty) and Walter Caffey (Sonny); her sisters-in-law, Georgia L. Crump and Pearl Johnson; and her grandchildren, Patrick, Ayanna, Tiffany, Michael, Jr., Nikilas, Jocelyn, Ashley, Anthony Jr., Aaron, Jonathan, Joshua, Eryn and Wyteria. She is also survived by great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
