He was predeceased by: his wife Jacquelyn Kines; his parents, James Fred Kines and Electa Louise Kines; and his siblings, Billy Wayne Kines and Sarah Ellen Smith.
He is survived by: his children, James M. Kines, Jr. (Lisa), Jeffrey M. Kines (Amy), Julie M. Kines and Michelle D. Kines; his grandchildren, Jeffrey "Seth" Kines (Bethany), Jared M. Kines, Demari E. Kines-Grant, EllaMae B. Kines, James T. Kines, Curtisie Smith, Chaslynne Smith and Skyler Robinett (Autumn); his great grandchildren, Gracelyn Kines, Everlee Kines, Payson Robinett and Cade Robinett; and his sister Patricia Dietz (Don). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gray Brown Service Mortuary (1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forestlawn Gardens (730 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207).
