He was predeceased by: his brother William Hartline of Anniston; and his parents, Louis Hartline of Steele and Stella Mae Hartline of Steele. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Meghan of Pinson, Madison of Pinson, Mallory Hartline of Pinson, Steve Hartline of Pinson, Seth Cain (Mesha) of McCalla and Austin Hartline of Pinson; and his siblings, Leois Smith and Larry Hartline (Vickie).
