He was predeceased by: his mother Geneva Thompson Lusk; his wife Patricia Ann Tant; his children, Jackie Lynn Tant and Angela Lloyd; and his siblings, William Tant, Peggy Tant Adair and Norabell Tant Bonds.

He is survived by: his children, Eddie Tant (Melanie) and Kristie McCurdy (Donald); and his daughter-in-law Tina Tant. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
