He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tatum and Josephine Tatum; and his siblings, Bufus Lee Tatum, Sr. (Jimmie Frank Tatum), Dr. James E. Tatum (Patricia) and Kelly Tatum.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Tatum; his children, Rosalynn Ware Neloms, Angela Richardson (Dwight), Sharon Tatum, Diana Smith, Michelle Tatum, Shirea White, Micheal Warner (Stephanie), William Warner (Mechelle), Joe Jackson, Hufus L. Tatum, Jr. and Grantt White; his sister Christine Chapman (Eddie); his uncle Elijah Wood; and his aunts, Pat Davis and Eula L. Heflin. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
