It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Ronald Barker of Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert and Fannie Kate Barker; and his stepdaughter Emily Brooke Beam. He is survived by: his wife Allyson Grant Barker; his children, Herbert Ronald Barker Jr. "Scooter" (Krista) and Anna Barker Forshage (Blaine); his stepdaughter Carmen Beam Newsom (Reaves); his siblings, Barbara Barker Varnum, William Harold Barker and Rodney Gray Barker (Linda); and his grandsons, Dylan Gray Barker, Jenson Zachary Barker, Justin Luke Johnson, Jackson Barker Johnson, Grant Reaves Newsom, William Beam Newsom, Russell Parrish Newsom, Rowland Mackenzie Coyle and Merrill Thomas Voytko. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Anniston 1st United Methodist Church located at 1400 Noble Street, Anniston, AL, 36201.
