She was predeceased by: her husband Howard L. Dempsey; her son Ronald Dale Dempsey; her great grandchild Gabriel Dempsey; her sister Billie Smith; and her parents, Henry Smith and Grace Howell Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, Eric Dempsey (Nannelle), Lane Dempsey (Angie) and Greg Dempsey (Cy); her grandchildren, Brian Dempsey, Allison Dempsey, Michael Dempsey (Kimberly) and Mary Dawson (Bradley); and her great grandchildren, Whitney Fink, Dalton Fink, Patrick Fink, Sophia Dempsey, Giuliana Dempsey, Adilyn Dawson and Mitchell Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to First Baptist Church at McClellan Building Fund.
