He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emory F. Echols and Mildred R. Echols; his nephew Keith Madison; his parents-in-law, Samuel Ellard Cotton and Lurah Goodwin Cotton; his brother-in-law Gary T. Cotton; his wife Judy Cotton Echols; his children, Timothy Ray Echols and Terri Leigh Echols; his pets, Charlie and Trixie; his sister June Echols Madison (Norman); his sister-in-law Avis Cotton Baxter (Gary); his nephews, Kenneth Madison (Amy) and Mark T. Cotton (Delia); his niece Amy Brillhart; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nathan Madison (Stefanie), Banks Cotton, Shelby Mahoney (Tyler), Anna Laurie Cotton, Caroline Brillhart and Olivia Brillhart.
