He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Taylor and Lucille Johnson; his wife Murdiest Foster Taylor; his children, Mary Taylor, Robert Taylor and Gwenevere Morris; and his siblings, Walter Frank Gray and Mattie Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Emory Cray, Clarence Taylor, Jr., Luelle Matthews (John Shelton) and Vanessa Bell (Rex). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 31 great, great, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
