She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Orman Newman; her son Dennis Newman; her parents, John Henry and Velma Price; and her brother Grady Price.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Strickland (Tommy); her daughter-in-law Sharon Newman; and her grandchildren, Kerry Strickland (Amber), Tonia Lipham (Brian) and Casey Newman (Shannon). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home (542 W 52nd St, Anniston, AL 36206). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
