She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Wood and Emma Wood; her husband Waffern Lee Moody Sr.; and her siblings, Willburn Wood, Bill Wood, Alden Wood (Gail), Donald Ray Wood, Oplean Dutton (Quay), Melbaline Skovira (Charles) and Doris Jean Darmer (Johnny).
She is survived by: her children, Helen Abernathy, Rebecca Hammett (David), Karen Moody and Waffern Lee Moody Jr. (Sherry); her grandchildren, Zendy Franks (Mark), Terrance Abernathy (Bethany), Tracy Wagnon (Clint), Mark Hammett (Magan), Jeremy, Jessica Moody (Josh) and Alex Moody (Faith); her siblings-in-law, Catherine Wood, Lunette Moody Rice, Barbara Moody and Randy Moody (Linda); and her grandsons, Chris Baker, Josh Carter and Mark Franks. She is also survived by twenty five great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Brown Service Mortuary (1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her name to Alexandria Valley Church of God building fund at 401 Alexandria-Wellington Road Alexandria, AL 36250.
