It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice J. Pate of Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herschel Pate; her parents, Grady Owen and Ula Owen; and her siblings, Grady Owen, Jr., Fred Owen, Ray Owen, Hershell Owen, Cranston Owen and Wanda Waldrop.

She is survived by: her sons, Dale Bedford, Darneal Bedford (Jeanie), Darrell Bedford (Connie) and David Bedford (Lisa); her brothers, Milton Owen and Tom Owen; her grandchildren, Zachery Shaddix (Paige), Bentlie Bedford, Twylla Bedford, Corey Rollins (Kaitlyn), Chelsea Hyatt (Wesley), Cassidy Bedford and Dallas Bedford; and her cousin Francis Louise Easterwood. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
