She was predeceased by: her husband James Turner Newton; her parents, Otis Mosley and Bertha Shelton Mosley; her brothers, Willard, Herman and Kinelues; and her brother-in-law Gerald Long.
She is survived by: her siblings, Westelle McGraw, Patricia Balentine (Joe), Gwen Long, T. W. (Doris) and O. B. (Willie) of Florida; her grandchildren, Tamra Newton and Blake Newton; and her great grandchildren, Regan, Makenna and Ryan Newton.
