She was predeceased by: her husband Rudolph Messick; her parents, Clara Bell McDaniel Henderson and Dallas Macon Henderson; her brother Dallas Henderson (Peggy); and her daughter-in-law Danita Messick.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Messick (Cindy) and Ricky Messick (Lori); her brother Jake Henderson; her sister-in-law Peggy; her grandchildren, Lydia Ellis (Matthew), Hannah Clifford (Jason), David Messick, Katy Short (Alex) and Taylor Messick; and her great grandchildren, Gracie Ellis, Jack Riley Ellis, Andy Clifford, Tanner Short, Cooper Short and Henry Clifford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wyatt Funeral Home (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (22897 Co Rd 81, Andalusia, AL 36421).
